HOW TO ENROLL:
All students interested in registering for an upcoming class are asked to schedule an interview. These casual meetings for prospective students and one adult (the parent or guardian who will be accompanying the student to classes) last 30 minutes.
During the interview students have a chance to play fun music games and parents have a chance to ask any questions they might have. It is a casual meeting and a chance to get to know each other and discover learning style and interests. Students are grouped not only according to age but also personality type, so interviews are important to determine the perfect class for each student. The interview fee of $35 is nonrefundable but is applied toward the class tuition upon enrollment.
Students are placed in one of the following classes depending upon age, level, and learning style.
Blast Off! Summer Camps - 10AM-12PM on specified days during June-August. Our Blast Off! camps are a fantastic introduction to music for preschoolers ages 3-5 filled with exploration, creative activities, piano games, dance, singing, and other fun activities. Prospective campers should be between the age of 3-5, potty trained, and will be required to complete an interview with 1 parent, care-taker before enrolling. The classes are small so it is important that we place each student in a class with fellow friends who are similar in learning style and personality type. Tuition ($65.50) includes all music and instructional material.
When is a child ready to start?
The Pioneers curriculum is very different than the traditional private piano lessons where a child might sit on the piano bench for a large percentage of the lesson. Students should be potty-trained and interested in music. To be able to truly enjoy and thrive in the Pioneers program, students should be able to focus for as long as it takes to:
Some students this age may already be able to recognize and write letters of the alphabet and numbers 1-10, however it is not a requirement. In music, we will be using only the 1st 7 alphabet letters, and only numbers 1-5!
